What’s your role at Catapult?
I joined Catapult around 6 months ago. I started in the factory, helping to mount printing plates before moving into distribution and then finally becoming an account manager – and it’s been quite the journey!
What’s a day in the life of your role like?
Day-to-day, it’s my job to keep our customers happy! Building relationships, making sure their work is on time and the best finish that we are happy with and so are they.
Where did you start out in printing?
This is my first job in printing, when I first joined I had no idea just how much time, care and craft goes into printing – it’s crazy! Now I know the process, I take extra time when looking, for example, labels on shelf in store. I’ve certainly learned so much in a short space of time.
What skills are required for your role?
Working with our customers, it’s all about building a good relationship and knowing the process. I love the relationships I have with our customers and being a good listener and helping them is a really great part of my job.
What advice would you give to people looking for a career at Catapult/printing?
The advice I would give them is to go for it because you never know how far you can go! Unlike other companies, there isn’t a glass ceiling here; we’re always advancing and learning.
